As the Son of God was growing up, God the Father could have had Him go to the best schools in the world. He could've gone to the most prestigious university in Greece, the great libraries of Rome or the best school in Jerusalem. Instead, God wanted His Son to stay home with His Mother and His Father. "And the Child grew, and waxed strong, full of wisdom; and the grace of God was in Him." (Luke 2:52)

I love it! I really need to reflect on these!
That last one is a hard lesson to learn! Prayer can easily become nothing more than handing God a wish list, when in fact it should be a way of drawing closer to Him and becoming what we should be.
Thanks for your comment, honey!
Love, Mama
I agree, Evan! It's so easy to rattle off what we need based on our myopic perspective of life. We sometimes forget that we are actually addressing the God of the Universe who can give us much more than the limited things we ask for, grant us the Grace to grow in His Image and fulfill all our deepest longings, if only we listen, trust and unite our wills to His.
Thanks for your comment!
These are beautiful quotes and pictures.... It gives me something to really think about, especially the last one.
And "Prayer: it's hard to stumble when you're on your knees"- I really like that. Actually, I like all of them. :D
Thanks for sharing!

By the way, I'm curious about your homeschooling methods? What do you mean by "eclectic home learning" and "attachment parenting"?
Thanks for asking, Evan! Will answer you soon ....
God bless!
Hi, Evan -- I finally got to answer your question on Eclectic Home Learning in my last post. I included it in my latest contribution to Sunday Snippets. Sorry it took me so long to answer, but we've been busy finishing end-of-the-schoolyear stuff. Will get back to you on Attachment Parenting. Big questions! But so glad you asked! God bless!
supper compilation about prayer quotes. Thanks for sharing.
You're welcome! =)
