My Little Gallery of Favorite Art Masterpieces

I love Art! I have taught both Art and Art History to my kids, other homeschoolers and students in school. I wanted to *decorate* this blog with some of my favorite paintings from the world's greatest artists. Mind you, I don't necessarily agree with the lifestyle choices these artists have made for themselves during their lifetime. I just love the Art they've given to the world and the artistic talents God gave them!

And since I can't collect them in real life (nor would I have the space in my home to display them, much as I would love to do that!), I'm so happy to be able to collect them online with these incredible copyright-free images! What a visual feast for the eyes (at least for me)! I try and share this enjoyment with my kids and students. My little collection here represents a brief survey of Western Art from the Middle Ages to modern times. I find it so rewarding just looking at these masterpieces .... Thank you, Lord, for the gift of Art.

Later on, I will post some of the art projects we've done in my classes and the works my students have created.
